From Expertise to Education

Turning retiring experts' brilliance into on-demand learning for a federal agency

A federal agency held critical knowledge inside a handful of seasoned experts and a few live sessions a year. The expertise was first-rate, but it could not scale, and some of the experts dreaded the camera. The work: coach them to confidence, capture what they knew, and rebuild it as polished, self-paced, SCORM-compliant e-learning the whole agency could reach anytime.

  • A camera-shy expert brought from anxious to genuinely loving the process
  • 9 projects, 32 recording sessions, 800+ hours of production
  • Delivered under budget throughout, one project a remarkable 28% under

The Trusted Go-To: Eight Years With a National Sports Organization

One reliable partner, countless projects, across three departments

A high-profile national sports organization needed production they could count on, again and again, often at short notice and across many different teams. What began as one project became eight-plus years of trusted, on-call work: full-package production delivered consistently, while juggling a full slate of other clients.

  • 8+ years as the reliable go-to, one to two events a month, rarely fewer
  • Full-package service across three departments: production, post, event management, instructional design, and SME coaching
  • Seamless LMS platform migration with zero loss of service

The Whole Toolkit, at Scale

Eleven years inside a growing learning-solutions company, doing every job this business is built on

A growing learning-solutions company needed someone who could do a little of everything and do it to a federal standard. Over nearly twelve years I grew through four roles, from systems support to running my own production team, and ended up touching every craft that Your Expert Voice now offers. This is the story of how all of it came together in one place.

  • Grew through four roles across system administration, virtual events, service delivery, and content development
  • Produced and edited hundreds of webinars and training videos across multiple client divisions
  • Carried multiple federal and corporate clients at once, under strict accessibility compliance, where the work had to be right the first time

White Glove, Under Pressure

High-stakes production for a federal agency where failure was not an option

A federal trade agency ran training and live events where the standard was absolute: federal accessibility compliance, no room for error, often on a last-minute timeline. I handled the production end to end, sometimes with three days' notice. The work was demanding enough that few people could sustain it. One good engagement led to another, and another, on the strength of word of mouth between teams.

  • Produced training webinars, just-in-time sessions, and full series for a federal agency
  • Delivered to Section 508 accessibility standards, where an audit failure carries real consequences
  • Turned around urgent requests on tight timelines, including a full program built in under a week

Keeping a Room Full of New Hires Awake

Onboarding and skills training for a large company, built to actually hold attention

A major company needed to onboard and train waves of new hires, most of them young, most of them new to the workforce. The challenge was not the material. It was attention. You cannot lecture a room of twenty-somethings and expect it to land. So we built the sessions like a live radio show: fast, fun, genuinely engaging, with the training tucked inside. This is corporate education that people actually sit through.

  • Produced recurring onboarding and skills-training webinars for groups of twenty to thirty new hires at a time
  • Designed a lively, broadcast-style format built for a young, easily-distracted audience
  • Always ran with a backup producer on standby, because preventing a disaster beats recovering from one

Teaching a State How to Vote by Mail

A voter-education video series, built fast and built to be understood by everyone

A state election board needed to explain the mail-in ballot process to the public: the deadlines, the methods, how to fill a ballot out correctly, who is allowed to help, and how to do it accessibly. We built a multi-part explainer video series to walk voters through all of it, on a tight six-week turnaround. It was a clean single-project engagement, and it stretched my ability to adapt more than almost anything else I have done.

  • Produced a dozen-plus explainer videos across six to eight voter-education topics
  • Designed and animated in Camtasia, built for clarity and accessibility
  • Delivered the full first series inside a six-week window, through multiple rounds of revision

From a 14-Day Course to a School Garden Workshop

Two builds with regenerative educator Alain D'Aoust: producing the media, and helping lay the business foundation under it

Alain D'Aoust is a regenerative-agriculture educator and the founder of the Regen Learning Hub. Across two projects I helped him turn his teaching into things people could actually reach: a self-paced permaculture course, and a live school-garden workshop for educators. One leaned production, one leaned foundation building, and honestly both were both. This is what it looks like when I get behind an expert and help them ship.

  • Produced and helped build his 14-Day Permaculture Designer, a self-paced course on the Regen Learning Hub platform (built on GoHighLevel), with weekly live labs and a private community.
  • Produced and co-moderated the 2025 School Garden Workshop, condensing his 12-hour certification into a single 2.5-hour live session for educators.
  • When the workshop went from paid to free at the last minute, we refunded every donor and absorbed the cost ourselves, because getting it into classrooms mattered more.

The Work I Do for Love

Years of quiet support for a land-based spiritual community, given freely

There is a hundred-acre private wildlife sanctuary in eastern Ontario where a spiritual community gathers: sabbath celebrations, harvest festivals, backwoods camping, online ceremonies and workshops. For years I have helped the people who run it with everything from manual labor to the technical backbone of their virtual events. It started as a simple barter and became something closer to stewardship. This is the work I do not bill for, the work I do because I believe in it.

  • Provided virtual event management, recording, and light editing for the community's online gatherings
  • Handled IT support, backed up overflowing event recordings, and created permanent links so members never lost access
  • Offered project-management and production consultation across years of events, given freely

Where the Whole Idea Began

Building a brand and a business with my partner, the project that showed me this could be a service

Before Foundation Building was a service I offered anyone, it was something I was already doing at my own kitchen table. Over coffee and long conversations, my partner and I built her business: the concept, the brand, the website, the whole foundation. Watching it come together is what made me realize this was something I could do for clients, not just for the person I love. Core & Rhythm is the proof, and it is the seed of everything this part of YEV has become.

  • Built a complete brand and business foundation collaboratively, from loose concept to finished, branded website
  • Developed the site through multiple iterations, concept sketches to a fully realized identity
  • Became the working model for the Foundation Building service I now offer clients
